Tiger Maple Work Desk
The client who commissioned this desk had a very good idea of dimensions and drawer layout but was open to ideas on the overall style. We discussed color tone, wood type, and looked at what she had for furniture in her home collection. I made a number of designs for her and she chose this tiger maple, raised panel, L-shaped work desk. The desk, being mostly designed around her computer, was fitted with custom-made ebony grommets to enclose wire and cords for the phone, lamp and computer. Because of the size of the desk it had to be brought into the room in two pieces and assembled in place.
